U.S. Representative Andrew Clyde, who represents Georgia’s 9th congressional district, posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing current political and international issues. Clyde, who secured reelection in 2024 with 69% of the vote, made his remarks on October 6 and 7, 2025.
In a post dated October 6, 2025, Clyde addressed the urgency of addressing the needs of Georgia families and farmers, calling out members of the opposing party in the Senate. He wrote, “The needs of Georgia families and farmers are far too urgent to be caught in the crossfire of Democrats’ partisan games. House Republicans have done our job. It’s time for Senators Warnock and Ossoff to do theirs.”
The following day, Clyde commented on immigration enforcement, stating, “There is no such thing as an “ICE-free zone” in the United States of America.” This post comes amid ongoing national debates over the role of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the designation of certain areas as off-limits to federal immigration authorities.
Later on October 7, Clyde marked the anniversary of the October 7th attack on Israel by Hamas, reflecting on the loss of life and calling for peace. He posted, “Today marks two years since Hamas terrorists’ horrific October 7th attack on Israel. As we reflect on this solemn day, we remember the innocent lives taken by unspeakable evil. Please continue to pray for the release of all hostages and for a lasting peace in the Middle East.”
Clyde has maintained his seat in Congress through three consecutive election victories. In 2024, he defeated Tambrei Cash with 69% of the vote. In previous cycles, he won against Michael Ford in 2022 with 72.4%, and against Devin Pandy in 2020 with 78.6%. These results have established him as a consistent Republican presence in Georgia’s 9th district.
