Andrew Clyde addresses safety, remembrance, and tragedy in recent social media posts

Rep. Andrew Clyde, a U.S. Congressman who has secured victories in the 2020, 2022, and 2024 general elections, recently shared several posts on his official X (formerly Twitter) account addressing national security, military remembrance, and a tragic event at a school.

On August 25, 2025, Rep. Clyde posted support for former President Donald Trump’s efforts in Washington D.C., stating: “President Trump is making D.C. SAFE again for the American people! https://t.co/Qp9f8Pd3P4”.

The following day, August 26, 2025, he commemorated the anniversary of the Kabul airport attack that resulted in the deaths of thirteen U.S. service members during the withdrawal from Afghanistan. He wrote: “Four years ago today, 13 U.S. service members were tragically killed in Kabul, Afghanistan.

On August 27, 2025, Rep. Clyde addressed an incident at Annunciation Catholic School with the message: “Heartbroken by the horrific acts of evil that took place at Annunciation Catholic School this morning.

Please join me in praying for the victims and their families.”

Rep. Andrew Clyde has maintained a strong presence in Georgia politics since first winning election to Congress in 2020 by defeating Devin Pandy with nearly 79% of the vote. He continued his electoral success by winning against Michael Ford in 2022 with over 72% of ballots cast and most recently prevailed over Tambrei Cash in the 2024 general election with approximately 69% of votes.
