U.S. Representative Andrew Clyde has recently taken to social media to announce new legislative efforts and reaffirm his policy positions, focusing on policing in Washington, D.C., abortion rights, and support for former President Donald Trump.

On September 3, 2025, Clyde wrote: “Today, I introduced the CLEAN DC Act to REPEAL the DC Council’s Comprehensive Policing and Justice Reform Amendment Act of 2022. This anti-police law emboldens criminals and hinders officer retention. Congress must act to help restore law and order in our nation’s capital.”

The following day, September 4, he posted: “The Declaration of Independence is clear: LIFE is our first and most fundamental unalienable right. I will ALWAYS defend the unborn and protect Americans’ hard-earned tax dollars from funding the evils of abortion.”

Later that same day, Clyde criticized Democratic opposition to former President Trump’s policies by stating: “Radical Democrats despise President Trump so much that they’re shamelessly opposing his commonsense efforts to clean up our nation’s crime-ridden cities. Trump Derangement Syndrome at its finest.”

Clyde represents Georgia’s 9th congressional district and has a record of electoral success. In the 2024 general election, he won against Tambrei Cash with nearly 69% of the vote. He also secured victories in previous elections against Michael Ford in 2022 with over 72% of the vote and Devin Pandy in 2020 with nearly 79% support.
