On July 13, 2025, Clyde marked the anniversary of an event involving former President Donald Trump by posting: “One year ago today, we witnessed a miracle. May God continue to bless and protect President Trump. https://t.co/vX1BjUkvpQ”
The following day, July 14, 2025, he addressed congressional action on federal spending: “On June 3rd, the White House sent a $9.4 billion rescissions package to Congress to claw back woke and wasteful spending. On July 16, 2025, Clyde commented on border security statistics: “June 2025 marks the LOWEST recorded monthly total of illegal alien border crossings in American history. President Trump is making America SAFE again!”
Clyde has represented Georgia’s 9th District since replacing Doug Collins in 2021 and resides in Athens after being born in Walkerton, Ontario in 1963.1 He holds degrees from both the University of Notre Dame and Bethel University (1985), as well as a degree from the University of Georgia (1999).2 His tenure has been marked by vocal positions on fiscal policy and support for former President Trump.
