Rep. Andrew Clyde, a U.S. Congressman representing Georgia’s 9th district since 2021, recently used his social media platform to criticize legislative actions and media coverage related to immigration and crime.
On April 15, 2026, Clyde posted about a recent violent incident involving an undocumented immigrant from Haiti. He wrote: “Just days ago, this monster—an illegal alien from Haiti—brutally murdered a Florida mother outside a gas station with a hammer. SIX Republicans just voted with House Democrats to advance a bill to extend Temporary Protected Status for Haitians for 3 years. Unconscionable.”
Later the same day, Clyde made another post criticizing Democratic immigration policies: “PURE EVIL. Democrats flooded our country with dangerous criminals that continue to brutalize innocent Americans. Denaturalize, deport, repeat!”
On April 16, he addressed CNN’s reporting on an Atlanta criminal case: “‘An Atlanta man’? SHAME ON YOU, CNN! The Fake News will always do the Democrat Party’s bidding—including protecting monsters who brutalize Americans. THE TRUTH: Olaolukitan Adon Abel is a violent criminal who was naturalized under the Biden Administration.”
Clyde has consistently won re-election in Georgia’s 9th district since first taking office in 2021 after replacing Doug Collins.1 In recent election cycles, he defeated Tambrei Cash in 2024 by nearly 70% of the vote,2 Michael Ford in 2022 by over 72%,3 and Devin Pandy in 2020 by almost 79%.4 Born in Walkerton, Ontario in 1963 and currently residing in Athens,5 Clyde remains an outspoken figure on issues relating to crime and immigration.
