On June 12, 2025, Rep. Clyde announced that “House Republicans just passed our first round of DOGE cuts.” He noted that the $9.4 billion rescissions package is only the beginning and emphasized the need to codify all of President Trump’s and DOGE’s cuts.

Andrew Clyde was born in Walkerton, Ontario, Canada in 1963 and now resides in Athens. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BA and from Bethel University with a BBA in 1985 before completing further studies at the University of Georgia in 1999.
