Rep. Andrew Clyde, who represents Georgia’s 9th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on drug enforcement, financial policy, and gun legislation through a series of posts on his social media account.
On July 16, 2025, Clyde highlighted law enforcement efforts against drug trafficking in Georgia. He stated, “The DEA recently intercepted OVER 700 POUNDS of methamphetamine hidden in a truck transporting cucumbers in Gainesville, Georgia. 2 traffickers were also arrested. President Trump’s @TheJusticeDept & @DEAHQ are working tirelessly to keep our communities safe from deadly drugs.”
Addressing financial regulation on July 17, 2025, Clyde commented on congressional actions regarding digital currency oversight: “House Freedom Caucus Members worked to ensure anti–Central Bank Digital Currency protections have the best path to become law by attaching safeguards to the NDAA, a must-pass bill. We will always fight for Americans’ economic freedom, financial privacy, and individual liberty.”

Clyde has served as U.S. Representative for Georgia’s 9th District since 2021 and succeeded Doug Collins. Born in Walkerton, Ontario in 1963 and currently residing in Athens, he holds degrees from the University of Notre Dame (BA), Bethel University (BBA), and the University of Georgia.
