Rep. Andrew Clyde, who represents Georgia’s 9th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on February 25, 2026, expressing support for former President Donald Trump and emphasizing national security themes.
In an early morning post, Clyde wrote: “PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH Thank you, Mr. President!” (February 25, 2026). Later that day, he followed with another message: “America is back and the best is yet to come! “ (February 25, 2026).
In a third tweet posted that afternoon, Clyde quoted Donald Trump and criticized Democrats’ response during what appears to be a recent political event: President Trump: “If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support: The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens.” Democrats remained SEATED. Sickening and downright un-American. (February 25, 2026).
Clyde has served as the representative for Georgia’s 9th district since replacing Doug Collins in 2021. He was born in Walkerton, Ontario, Canada in 1963 and currently resides in Athens at age 59. In recent elections, Clyde secured his seat by wide margins against Tambrei Cash in 2024 with nearly 69% of the vote; Michael Ford in 2022 with over 72%; and Devin Pandy in 2020 with almost 79%.
