Rep. Andrew Clyde, who represents Georgia’s 9th district in the U.S. Congress, addressed legislative priorities and national issues in a series of posts on his official Twitter account between February 3 and February 4, 2026.
On February 3, Clyde called for action from his party’s congressional leadership: “With all due respect, these excuses aren’t going to cut it. The American people rightfully expect our Republican Congress to DELIVER on our promises. To do so, we must return to the talking filibuster and pass real, America First wins. Starting with the SAVE Act.” (posted February 3, 2026).
Continuing his focus on policy proposals, Clyde commented on voting security measures: “Easy to vote + Hard to cheat = SAVE America Act” (posted February 4, 2026).
He also addressed religious law and extremism in another post: “Sharia Law and Radical Islam have NO PLACE in America.” (posted February 4, 2026).
Clyde has served as the representative for Georgia’s 9th District since replacing Doug Collins in 2021. He was born in Walkerton, Ontario, Canada in 1963 and currently resides in Athens at age 59. Clyde secured his seat by defeating Devin Pandy in the general election of 2020 with nearly 79% of the vote; he won re-election against Michael Ford in 2022 with over 72%, and again prevailed over Tambrei Cash in the most recent general election with approximately 69%.
