Rep. Andrew Clyde, a U.S. Congressman who has consistently secured his seat in Georgia’s 9th district through multiple election cycles, recently posted several comments on social media regarding trade policy, gun rights, and economic growth under former President Donald Trump.
On July 28, 2025, Clyde wrote, “President Trump is the best trade negotiator in American history. Dealmaker-in-Chief! “
Two days later, on July 30, he commented on gun control and immigration policy: “Go try to buy an “automatic rifle” and let me know how it goes. I can guarantee it was easier for illegal aliens to enter our country under Joe Biden than it is for American citizens to exercise our Second Amendment rights.”
Later that same day, Clyde referenced recent economic data: “Q2 GDP surged 3%—smashing “experts’” expectations. President Trump’s pro-growth policies are WORKING for the American people. “
Clyde has maintained a strong electoral record in his district. In the 2024 general election, he defeated Tambrei Cash with 69% of the vote; in 2022 he won against Michael Ford with over 72%; and in 2020 he secured victory over Devin Pandy with nearly 79%. These results underscore his sustained support among constituents.
