On Sunday, April 13, former Forsyth Central High School standout Averett Thompson’s current college team, the Piedmont Lions, lost 5-3 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the LaGrange Panthers.

The game took place at Loudermilk Field. This was their third matchup against the Panthers this season.

The Lions’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15 at 6 p.m. at Hermance Stadium against Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels.
