Bijan Robinson is focused on enhancing his performance for the upcoming 2025 NFL season. In 2024, the running back had a standout year, becoming one of only five players in Falcons history to achieve 1,800 scrimmage yards in a single season. He ranked fourth among all NFL players with 1,887 scrimmage yards and was sixth in touchdowns with 15.

Robinson aims to increase the number of explosive plays he makes. “We’re done with 30-yard runs and all that stuff,” Robinson stated. “Now it’s time to get those 60 yards, 50 yards.” Last season, he recorded 28 carries of at least 12 yards, ranking fourth among NFL players.

The Falcons hope to see more long-distance plays from Robinson this year. Offensive coordinator Zac Robinson commented on his talent: “His vision, the way he can see and feel in tight quarters is unlike anything I have ever seen.”

The team has an established offensive line and a promising passing attack led by Michael Penix Jr., which should support Robinson’s efforts. He has been working on improving his playmaking abilities during the offseason.

Robinson also looks up to NBA legend Allen Iverson for inspiration in avoiding tackles. His speed was notable last season; according to Next Gen Stats, he was the only player to reach 20 miles per hour by the time he crossed the line of scrimmage.

Running backs coach Michael Pitre emphasized maximizing Robinson’s talents: “You don’t have a guy like that on your team and not try to find every way to take advantage of his gifts.”

Despite being tied for fourth place among running backs for carries over 12 yards last year, Robinson seeks improvement in longer runs. Derrick Henry, Jahmyr Gibbs, and Saquon Barkley surpassed him in this category with several runs over 20 yards each.

Robinson expressed his determination: “We all want it. We’re all waiting for that Saquon type of season when it comes to explosives.” The Falcons are hopeful that these improvements will significantly impact their offense this coming season.
