Chamber Chase 5K and wellness walk set for March 19

The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce will hold its 18th annual Chamber Chase 5K and 2 Mile Wellness Walk on Thursday, March 19, at Riverside Preparatory Academy. The event is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m., with the race for runners starting at 6:00 p.m. and walkers beginning at 6:10 p.m.

Participants can register either as individuals or as part of a team. Registration costs $30 per person, but the fee increases to $35 after March 12. Those interested in joining can sign up online at RunSignUp.com/ChamberChase or in person at the Chamber’s office located at 230 E.E. Butler Parkway in Gainesville.

Awards will be given in several categories, including Fastest CEO, Team Spirit, Individual, and Fastest Team. There is also a contest for designing company t-shirts. All registered participants will receive a race t-shirt.

Teams have the option to reserve tents to promote their companies during the event. Electronic timing will be used for finish line results and race times. After the race, there will be award presentations along with food, music, and other activities.
