The Atlanta Falcons have completed their practice squad roster by signing edge rusher Ronnie Perkins and defensive lineman Simeon Barrow Jr. The team made room for the two players by releasing offensive tackle Brandon Parker, as there was only one spot left on the squad.
Perkins joined the Falcons during training camp, while Barrow signed with the team in the offseason as an undrafted free agent. Both players participated in all three of Atlanta’s preseason games.
Perkins played 34 defensive snaps in the final preseason game, accounting for 55% of the unit’s workload and making three combined tackles. He was originally drafted in the third round by the New England Patriots in 2021 and made his NFL debut with the Denver Broncos in 2023, appearing in seven games and recording 13 tackles and a quarterback hit. Last season, Perkins spent time on injured reserve before being released by Denver and later joining the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad. Earlier this year, he played five games for the UFL’s Birmingham Stallions, where he recorded 17 tackles and 3.5 sacks.
Barrow appeared in all three preseason games for Atlanta, registering a sack, a forced fumble, and two tackles. In the third preseason game, he played 29 defensive snaps (47% of that unit’s work), collecting both his sack and forced fumble during that appearance. As a rookie, Barrow has no prior NFL experience.
The updated practice squad now includes international player Lenny Krieg among its members.
