FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — Kaden Elliss is considered a key figure in the Atlanta Falcons’ defense and leads the inside linebacker group with his experience. Ahead of the 2025 training camp, attention is on him and his fellow linebackers.
Position coaches for the inside linebackers include Jeff Ulbrich as defensive coordinator and Barrett Ruud as inside linebackers coach. Returning starters are Kaden Elliss and Troy Andersen, with Divine Deablo as a notable newcomer to the team.
The rest of the roster comprises JD Bertrand, Josh Woods, Malik Verdon, Nick Kubitz, and Caleb Johnson. The team saw Nate Landman depart to join the Los Angeles Rams in March.
Kaden Elliss joined the Falcons after a successful 2022 season with the New Orleans Saints. His ability to pressure quarterbacks is significant behind the defensive line. “Kaden is a freak, right?” said Falcons head coach Raheem Morris.
Divine Deablo comes from the Las Vegas Raiders and has shown potential during offseason practices. He may share responsibilities with Elliss in leading the defense. “His athleticism stands out; it’s been unique,” Morris commented on Deablo’s performance.
Troy Andersen’s health remains a concern for his performance consistency. Despite showing promise early in his career, injuries have hindered his progress. “It’s really unfortunate that he’s been banged up for most of his pro career,” said Ruud about Andersen’s challenges.
