On Sunday, Feb. 16, former Forsyth Central High School standout Averett Thompson’s current college team, the Piedmont Lions, won 4-2 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Chapman Panthers.

The game took place at W.O. Hart Park. This was their third matchup against the Panthers this season.

The Lions’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. at Loudermilk Field against Hanover Panthers.
