On Saturday, May 31, former North Forsyth High School standout Garrett Staton’s current collegiate team the Alabama Crimson Tide lost 5-6 against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles in the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship.

The game took place at Pete Taylor Park at 2:05 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles in the tournament.
