The House Study Committee on Affordability & Accessibility of Georgia’s Legitimation Process is set to convene for its inaugural meeting in Atlanta. State Representative Carter Barrett (R-Cumming) will chair the session scheduled for Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 10 a.m. The meeting will take place in room 406 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building.
This committee was established by House Resolution 428 with the aim of examining potential improvements to Georgia’s legitimation process. The focus is on making it more affordable and accessible, especially for biological fathers who face financial constraints.
