House study committee on investment funds schedules first meeting in Atlanta

The House Study Committee on Georgia’s Investment Funds is set to hold its first meeting on September 2, 2025. The committee is chaired by State Representative Todd Jones (R-South Forsyth). The meeting will take place at the Metro Atlanta Chamber Board Room in Atlanta.

This committee was established through House Resolution 557. Its purpose is to explore strategies for attracting more investment capital to Georgia and to examine conditions that could improve growth capital investments.

Jon G. Burns, a Republican who was elected to represent Georgia’s 159th House District in 2005, has been active in state legislative matters since replacing former representative Ray Holland.
