The National Lacrosse League (NLL) has announced that Georgia Swarm forward Lyle Thompson is a finalist for the 2025 Sportsmanship Award. This recognition highlights his commitment to fair play, respect, and integrity both on and off the field.

Thompson is recognized as one of the league’s most respected athletes, known for his high-level performance and strong character. His disciplined approach, team-first mentality, and respect for the game’s origins have made him a standout player who uplifts those around him through his style of play.

During the 2024–25 season, Thompson led by example with intensity and leadership under pressure. He represented both the Georgia Swarm and his Indigenous heritage with pride. This marks the seventh time he has been named a finalist for this award, demonstrating his lasting influence in the NLL.

The awards are based on regular-season performances, with voting conducted before the start of the 2025 NLL Playoffs. Media members, coaches, and team personnel ranked their top five choices for each award category. The finalists are the top three vote-getters in each category.

Winners will be announced next week ahead of Game 1 of the 2025 NLL Finals.
