City of Gainesville recently issued the following announcement.

Registration is now open for Gainesville Parks and Recreation’s spring youth leagues.  

Youth baseball offers leagues for ages 5 to 14 and softball leagues ages 7 to 12. Registration ends January 14, 2022 and game play will be begin early February and continue until mid-May at area parks including City Park, Lanier Point Athletic Complex and Candler Field.

Don’t miss these upcoming registration deadlines for spring sports including youth and pee wee programs:

Baseball & Softball, Ages 5 to 14, January 14

Track & Field, Ages 7 to 14, February 11

Pee Wee Tennis, Ages 3 to 5, February 18

Rookie Tennis, Ages 6 to 8, February 19

Middle School Girls Lacrosse, March 1

Pee Wee Track and Field, Ages 3 to 5, March 18

Pee Wee Lacrosse, Ages 3 to 5, April 22

Pee Wee Tee Ball, Ages 3 to 5, April 22
