Rep. Andrew Clyde, a U.S. Congressman who has consistently won reelection by wide margins since 2020, recently used his social media platform to criticize Democratic leadership and to comment on recent political events.

On October 14, 2025, Clyde accused Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and the Democratic Party of stalling government operations. In a post, he wrote, “It’s Day 14 of Chuck Schumer holding the government hostage to appease the radical left. The Democrats would rather play partisan games than serve the American people.”

Later that same day, Clyde paid tribute to conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by former President Donald Trump. Clyde stated, “Today President Trump posthumously awarded Charlie Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Charlie should be with us today, turning 32. Yet his legacy will live on forever. We will never forget you, Charlie, or what you fought for: God. Family. Country.”

On October 15, 2025, Clyde reiterated his criticism of the ongoing government funding impasse. He posted, “Yes, Democrats are still holding the government hostage to give illegal aliens taxpayer benefits. Day 15 of the Schumer Shutdown.”

Clyde has represented his district since 2020 and has maintained strong support in successive elections. In 2024, he defeated Tambrei Cash with 69% of the vote; in 2022, he overcame Michael Ford with a margin of over 70%; and in 2020, he secured nearly 79% of the vote against Devin Pandy.
