Rep. Andrew Clyde, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Georgia’s 9th district, has recently expressed his views on various pressing issues through a series of tweets. Clyde, who succeeded Doug Collins in 2021, shared his thoughts on topics ranging from a recent terrorist attack to immigration policies and legislative priorities.
On June 2, 2025, Rep. Clyde called for prayers for those affected by a violent incident in Boulder, Colorado. He stated: “Please join me in praying for the innocent victims injured in the gruesome terrorist attack in Boulder, Colorado. Antisemitism, violence, and hate have no place in our great country.”
Later that day, Clyde criticized the current administration’s immigration policies. He tweeted: “The Biden Administration’s illegal invasion and mass importation of unvetted individuals continue to terrorize American communities. Mass deportations are a necessity to save our country.”
On June 3, 2025, he addressed economic concerns related to federal budget cuts. In his tweet, he urged Congress to act swiftly: “The American people are waiting for Congress to codify the DOGE cuts. No more excuses. No more delays. Let’s get it done ASAP.”
Andrew Clyde was born in Walkerton, Ontario, Canada in 1963 and now resides in Athens. He holds degrees from the University of Notre Dame and Bethel University as well as an additional degree from the University of Georgia.
