Last week, Congressman Andrew Clyde (GA-09) met with community and business leaders throughout Georgia’s Ninth District to discuss the impact of the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB). The legislation, which Clyde supported, contains provisions he says will benefit workers, families, and small businesses in the region.
“Republicans’ One Big Beautiful Bill is a tremendous win for workers, families, and small businesses throughout the Ninth District,” said Clyde. “I proudly voted for this monumental legislation to deliver everything from historic tax cuts to critical border security for Northeast Georgians. I look forward to its enactment unleashing economic growth and bolstering America’s national security for years to come.”
Clyde spoke at several events highlighting aspects of the bill. He emphasized that it provides tax cuts for various groups including seniors, supports small businesses and manufacturers, invests in rural areas, secures borders, addresses waste and fraud, expands energy production, restores Second Amendment rights, and increases educational options.
On Tuesday in Toccoa, Clyde attended a roundtable lunch organized by local development authorities and chambers of commerce. He discussed how the OBBB aims to drive economic prosperity in Northeast Georgia.
The following day in Demorest, he participated in a leadership forum with Habersham County officials. There he noted that the bill offers financial relief for workers and families while also focusing on border security funding.
On Thursday in Braselton, Clyde joined representatives from several chambers of commerce for a discussion on tax reform. He praised what he described as pro-growth policies within President Trump’s legislative package.
Clyde has represented Georgia’s Ninth District since 2021. In recent elections he has maintained strong support: In 2024 he defeated Tambrei Cash with 69% of the vote; in 2022 he won against Michael Ford with over 72%; and in 2020 he secured nearly 79% against Devin Pandy.
