Rep. Andrew Clyde, a U.S. Congressman representing Georgia’s 9th district since 2021, has been active on social media expressing his political views. His recent tweets reflect his stance on several national issues.
On July 8, 2025, Rep. Clyde echoed former President Trump’s position on immigration by stating “Just as President Trump said: NO AMNESTY.”
The following day, July 9, 2025, he criticized the Democratic Party with a reminder that “Every House and Senate Democrat voted for the largest tax hike on working families in U.S. history.”
Later that day, Rep. Clyde showed support for efforts to address crime in Washington D.C., quoting a statement and adding his own endorsement: “We could run D.C. We’re looking at D.C. We don’t want crime in D.C. We want the city to run well.” He concluded with “100%, Mr. President! Let’s Make D.C. Great Again.”
Andrew Clyde was born in Walkerton, Ontario, Canada in 1963 and currently resides in Athens, Georgia. He is an alumnus of the University of Notre Dame and Bethel University from which he graduated in 1985 with degrees in Arts and Business Administration respectively; he also earned a degree from the University of Georgia in 1999.
