Last week, Congressman Andrew Clyde of Georgia’s Ninth District recognized the winners of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition. The competition showcases artistic talent from young artists within the district.
The first-place winner is Philip Jeong with his artwork titled “Hope,” which was created at Hongik Art Studio. Philip’s piece will be displayed in the Cannon Tunnel of the U.S. Capitol building for one year, alongside winning submissions from congressional districts across the country. Woo Yong Jeong, Philip’s father, accepted the award on his behalf.
Chloe Kim secured second place with her piece “I Have Nothing to Wear” from North Gwinnett High School. Sophia Byron won third place for her artwork “The Courthouse” from Union County High School.
Congressman Clyde expressed his admiration for all participants, stating: “Congratulations to Philip on his exciting accomplishment of winning first place in this year’s Congressional Art Competition! I look forward to his impressive artwork being displayed in the U.S. Capitol for visitors, staff, and Members of Congress to enjoy,” said Clyde. “Additionally, I’d like to congratulate Chloe and Sophia for their remarkable work and creative designs. This annual competition continues to highlight the incredible talent of young artists in the Ninth District.”
