Senator Greg Dolezal, a Republican representing Georgia’s 27th Senate District since 2019, addressed several state issues in a series of posts on his social media account between May 15 and May 16, 2026.
On May 15, Dolezal commented on literacy rates among Georgia’s youth. In his post he stated: “As a father of four with a third grader, it hits home hard when I hear Georgia’s third-grade literacy rate is only 29%. We passed new funding to tackle it, and I’ll keep this fight front and center. It’s paramount that kids learn to read so they can read to learn.”
Later the same day, Dolezal criticized state tax incentives for data centers. He wrote: “The data center boom in Georgia is being driven by the massive tax breaks we’re handing these companies. I’m the only person running for Lt. Governor who voted against the renewal of this credit in 2022, now look where we are. There is no reason Georgia families should be”
On May 16, Dolezal addressed actions related to Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and her office’s investigation into former President Donald Trump. He posted: “I don’t care how much Fani Willis complains or spins it. I’m proud of the work we did holding her feet to the fire and exposing the lawfare and abuse her office committed against President Trump. No apologies.”
Dolezal has served as a state senator since winning election in 2019, succeeding Michael Williams.
