Senator Greg Dolezal, a Republican representing Georgia’s 27th Senate District since 2019, has recently criticized Georgia Senate Democrats for their voting decisions on key legislative issues in a series of posts on his social media account.
On March 6, 2026, Dolezal wrote: “Every Georgia Senate Democrat just voted against my SAVE Amendment to ensure only U.S. citizens vote in our elections and require photo ID to vote. They chose to oppose election integrity. Georgians deserve better.”
The following day, March 7, he posted: “Georgia Senate Democrats just voted against charging a higher property tax rate to data centers and using the revenue to lower property taxes for homeowners. Earlier today, they voted against removing tax abatements for data centers that cost Georgians about $1.5b a year.”
Later on March 7, Dolezal added: “Over 80% of Americans support passing the SAVE America Act. President Trump supports it. The House passed it. Yet the Senate continues to thwart the will of the people. No more excuses. End the filibuster and pass the SAVE America Act.”
Dolezal was elected to the Georgia State Senate in 2019 after replacing former state senator Michael Williams.
