Senator Greg Dolezal, a Republican representing Georgia’s 27th Senate District since 2019, used his social media platform on February 10, 2026, to comment on election security and sentencing in a recent criminal case.
In a post published at 14:01 UTC, Dolezal stated, “It should be Election Day, not Election Month. Voter rolls should be cleaned before every election. When you use common sense, preventing voter fraud is easy.”
Later that day at 21:55 UTC, Dolezal referenced the sentencing of Jauan Rashun Porter from Floyd County. He wrote, “This is Jauan Rashun Porter, a Floyd County man who was sentenced to three years in prison for threatening to assassinate President Trump. Porter said, ‘I’m gonna kill Trump. I’m gonna watch him bleed out and I’m gonna watch him die.’ Three years is not enough. Not even close.”
At 23:25 UTC on the same day, Dolezal addressed concerns about voter registration records in Fulton County. He posted, “Fulton County has hundreds of people listed on their voter rolls with birthdays in the year 1900. If we’re going to restore faith in our elections, it needs to start with clean voter rolls.”
Dolezal succeeded Michael Williams as state senator in 2019 and has since been an advocate for election integrity measures.
