County of Forsyth recently issued the following announcement.
Keep Forsyth County Beautiful welcomes everyone to take part in the Great FoCo Cleanup by helping remove litter from the community’s roadways on Saturday, March 26. The effort is a part of the Keep America Beautiful Great American Cleanup.
Participants, as an organized team of volunteers or as individuals, can pick up supplies at 9 a.m. at one of three locations:
• Cumming City Hall (100 E. Main Street)
• Coal Mountain Recycling Center (3560 Settingdown Rd.)

Volunteers will then depart to clean up roadways in the community.
“This is a great opportunity for everyone to make a positive impact while getting some fresh air,” said Forsyth County Manager of Environmental Programs Tammy Wright. “We always appreciate the hard work the community puts in to help our county thrive.”
Volunteers are asked to bring their bags of trash to any of the County’s three recycling centers by 1 p.m. The locations of the three recycling centers can be found on the County’s website.
