Hall County hereby gives notice that Hall County Department of Public Works and Utilities will hold a public information open house on April 7, 2022 from 5-7pm at the Hall County Government Center in the 2nd floor Commission Meeting Room located at 2875 Browns Bridge Road, Gainesville Ga 30504.

The purposes of the public information open house are to:

  1. Inform the public of the need for improvements to the County’s wastewater treatment system.
  2. To comply with Section 391-3-6-.02 of Georgia’s Water Quality Control Rules and Regulations (and amendments thereto).
  3. To encourage public involvement in the development of a plan to improve the wastewater treatment system.
In order for the County to continue to meet its wastewater treatment needs, improving and upgrading the resources and continuing to invest in the existing infrastructure is vital to ensure longevity into the years to come. The proposed improvements will provide a simple operation and the required treatment to meet permit limits. The public information open house will attempt to identify public preferences for alternative methods of improving the County’s wastewater treatment facilities to meet the required permit limits. These alternatives will be evaluated and included in the County’s Environmental Information Document.

Public participation is considered essential to the selection and development of the final plan to be adopted prior to its approval by the State of Georgia, Department of Natural Resources.
