Former Lambert High School player and current Birmingham-Southern Panthers right handed pitcher, Matthew Mapes, will compete in the NCAA D3 Baseball Championship Tournament.

They begin the tournament as a number three seed against the second seeded Transylvania Pioneers.

The first game is on Friday, May 17.
