The Georgia Swarm has released its schedule for the 2024-25 National Lacrosse League (NLL) season. The team will play 18 regular-season games, with nine of these taking place at Harrah’s Cherokee Casinos Field at Gas South Arena in Duluth, GA.
The season opener is set for Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 8:00 PM ET against the San Diego Seals. This game follows a memorable match last year where the Swarm and Seals went into overtime. The second home game will be against the Toronto Rock on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 7:30 PM ET. The regular season runs from December through April and concludes with a home game on April 19, 2025, against the Buffalo Bandits at 7:30 PM ET.
Following a successful previous season with a record of 10-8 and a fourth-place finish, the Swarm looks to build on their momentum. Key players include Lyle Thompson, Andrew Kew, and Shayne Jackson on offense. Defensively, Adam Wiedemann and goaltender Brett Dobson are expected to lead.
Fans can anticipate the NLL’s Unified Standings system this season. The top eight teams will advance to the playoffs after battling all 14 league teams during the regular season. The postseason format includes single-elimination quarterfinals followed by best-of-three semifinals and finals.
