Moms for Liberty has endorsed Trisha Hoyes in her race for a seat on the Forsyth County Schools (FCS) Board of Education, representing District 2. Early voting began on October 15 and extends through November 1 for the November 5 general election.

"I will fight passionately to ensure our parents know what their kids are learning, that our students have every opportunity to thrive, that our tax dollars are spent wisely, and that our teachers are equipped to teach — not forced to indoctrinate," Hoyes said on her campaign page.

Hoyes' other priorities include school safety, continuing to accommodate students amid rapid enrollment increases, focusing on academic rigor and giving teachers the necessary resources and support to keep struggling students from slipping through the cracks, and encouraging strong partnerships between elected officials, stakeholders, and parents.

Previously, Hoyes spent 15 years as a K-12 teacher. She earned her National Board Certification and focused on special education. In addition to working as a realtor for the past six years, she serves on the Mashburn Local School Council and is a business partner with Mashburn Elementary. She and her husband Scotty have two children, and since 2019, they have fostered seven children through FaithBridge Foster Care.

Per the Forsyth County Schools Board of Education's website, the Board comprises five members. Terms are four years and staggered so that two or three members are elected every two years.

Moms for Liberty is a parental-rights-in-education advocacy group founded by Tiffany Justice and Tina Descovich, two former school board members. According to their website, "Moms for Liberty is dedicated to fighting for the survival of America by unifying, educating and empowering parents to defend their parental rights at all levels of government."
