FOIA Request to Hall County Election Department Regarding Ballot Counting Methods on October 29, 2024.
We at NE Atlanta News, a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, have submitted a request under the Georgia Open Records Act § 50.18.70 et seq., for records pertaining to the methods being used by the Hall County Election Department to count votes in the upcoming election.
The request specifically asks for details on whether the counting process is manual or automated. If manual counting is being employed, we have requested an estimate of the number of people who will be working on election night.
