There's a possibility that Atlanta Falcons center Drew Dalman will return to play against the Los Angeles Chargers this Sunday. Head coach Raheem Morris expressed optimism about Dalman's participation, stating, "I do feel good about Dalman starting this week." However, he also cautioned against assuming it as a certainty.

Dalman has been sidelined since injuring his ankle during a game against the Kansas City Chiefs on September 22. He was placed on injured reserve shortly after but was designated to return at the end of October and officially activated in mid-November. Despite these developments, he has not played since his injury.

In Dalman's absence, Ryan Neuzil has taken over as the Falcons' starting center. Dalman, who joined the team as a fourth-round draft pick in 2021, had previously appeared in every game of his rookie season and secured the starting center role in his second year.

Reflecting on his time off the field due to injury, Dalman noted that it allowed him to gain new perspectives. "When you're not the one having to perform every Sunday," he said, "you get a chance to pay attention to a few other things."

The upcoming game between the Falcons and Chargers is set for 1 p.m. ET at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and will be broadcast live by CBS. While there is hope for Dalman's return, past injury reports have shown that expectations don't always match reality.

Dalman himself remains cautious about discussing timelines but shared his enthusiasm: "I'm excited and feeling good."
