The Georgia Swarm is preparing to face the Ottawa Black Bears in a significant matchup at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Field at Gas South Arena on Friday, January 10, at 7:30 PM ET. This game will be the first meeting between the two teams since Ottawa's rebranding from the New York Riptide earlier this season.
The match will feature prominent players from the National Lacrosse League. Georgia's Lyle Thompson and Ottawa's Jeff Teat are set to compete against each other. Teat has achieved a rare feat by being one of only three players to receive first-overall selections in both NLL and professional outdoor lacrosse drafts, a distinction shared with Thompson and Kevin Crowley.

On the other hand, Ottawa seeks redemption after a close defeat against San Diego in what was recorded as the lowest-scoring game in NLL history. Despite this setback, led by Teat, they are eager to demonstrate their offensive capabilities.
