Congressman Andrew Clyde from Georgia's 9th district expressed his support for the House Republicans' budget resolution, H.Con.Res. 14, which passed by a narrow margin of 217-215.
Clyde commented on the resolution, stating: “House Republicans’ budget resolution provides a winning blueprint for Congress to deliver on President Trump’s America First agenda.” He highlighted that the passage of this fiscal framework enables the budget reconciliation process aimed at reducing government spending, extending the 2017 Trump tax cuts, and strengthening border security.
He further emphasized the intent behind the budget resolution: “From the outset, House Republicans have worked to ensure our budget resolution lays the foundation for fully achieving President Trump’s key priorities in both a swift and fiscally responsible manner. I remain focused on championing these principles in our work ahead, and I look forward to successfully fulfilling our shared promises to the American people.”
