Democratic Senate candidate Nikki Merritt has won an election bid for District 9 beating Republican incumbent Peter Kuhl Martin.
“We won the dem thing!!!, I need to go wake some people up!” she posted on her campaign Facebook page.
Meritt also included a picture of the election results on the social site showing that she garnered 52,971 while Martin amassed 49,311 votes.
