Meeting8213

County of Hall recently issued the following announcement.

Hall County Government is kicking off its minor update to the Hall County Comprehensive Plan with a public meeting on Monday, March 14 at 5:30 p.m. in the Commission Meeting Room, located on the second floor of the Hall County Government Center, 2875 Browns Bridge Road, Gainesville, Ga. The Comprehensive Plan is the county’s blueprint outlining how its long-term vision and development goals will be realized over time. It is a plan developed by citizens for citizens, addressing a wide variety of issues, including land use, transportation, housing, recreation, historic preservation, open space and economic development.

The Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) requires an update to comprehensive plans every five years. The County’s current Comprehensive Plan was completed in 2017.

“Staff is looking forward to meeting with our residents and listening to their vision for the future of Hall County,” said Srikanth Yamala, interim director of Hall County Planning and Development.  “This planning process will help guide the County’s decisions as we plan for Hall County’s imminent growth and development.”

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting to share their onions, concerns and desires. For those who are unable to attend in person, comments may be submitted via email to planning@hallcounty.org
