A central piece of furniture has played a significant role in shaping the family life of Atlanta Falcons linebacker Kaden Elliss. A 14-foot custom-made wood dining table has been the focal point for Luther and Rebecca Elliss' family, consisting of their 12 children—five biological and seven adopted. This table has survived four interstate moves and prompted two remodels since 2010.

"You can tell it was made with love," Luther Elliss said. "I feel like that's our home."

Kaden Elliss is partnering with Georgia Kids Belong for the Falcons' My Cause My Cleats game against the Los Angeles Chargers. The non-profit aims to improve experiences for children in foster care.

"We can give a child a backpack or school supplies or clothes," said Rebecca Radicchi, Georgia Kids Belong state manager. "But the gift of a family is as impactful and special as it gets."

The adoption journey began when Luther and Rebecca were approached about adopting Isaiah while Luther was playing for the Detroit Lions. Concerns about loving an adopted child equally vanished once they met Isaiah.

"In my mind, I'm like OK, I know we talked about it, but I don't know anything about adopting," Luther said.

Over time, they added more children to their family through both birth and adoption, requiring them to purchase a large van for transportation.

"If my kids told me they wanted 12 kids, I would look at them right now like they were crazy," Rebecca said.

The family's annual Olympics event in July highlights their competitive spirit. Injuries are not uncommon during these events, which feature various sports activities.

"Very chaotic," Jonah Elliss said. "People get pretty aggressive."

As their children grow up and leave home, Luther and Rebecca are adjusting to life with fewer children around but remain involved in helping other families adopt through A Act of Love agency.

"For us, it's been through prayer and where God has led us," Rebecca said.

Kaden hopes to replicate his parents' approach to family life with his own growing family while maintaining close ties among siblings even after his parents are gone.

"I'm hoping my kids maintain their relationships and stay close," Luther stated.
