Congressman Rich McCormick of Georgia's 6th Congressional District has been elected as one of two Sophomore Representatives on the Republican Policy Committee. He will also join the sophomore class leadership team as one of four members for the 119th Congress.

"I am honored to represent Georgia’s 6th Congressional District and the Republican sophomore class on the Policy Committee," stated Congressman McCormick. "This is an incredible opportunity to shape and advance policies that protect our principles, grow our majority, and deliver meaningful results for the American people."

McCormick serves on several committees including the House Armed Services Committee, House Foreign Affairs Committee, House Science, Space, and Technology Committee, and the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic. He is also part of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. His involvement in these committees has positioned him as a significant voice on national issues. Additionally, his work with the Republican Study Committee’s Budget Taskforce and Steering Committees highlights his dedication to developing policies that reflect conservative values.

"Serving as one of the sophomore class representatives to the Policy Committee is a tremendous responsibility," McCormick said. "I look forward to working with my colleagues to craft actionable, impactful solutions that will strengthen our nation, unify our conference, and support every member in serving their constituents effectively."

McCormick outlined three main priorities for his role:

1. Driving Effective, Results-Oriented Policies: Developing practical solutions focused on national security, economic prosperity, and American innovation.

2. Fostering Unity Within the Conference: Promoting collaboration across various committees and regions to maintain a unified Republican agenda.

3. Expanding Access to Policy Resources: Providing members with necessary tools and information to address critical issues in their districts.
