The Atlanta Falcons have announced the extension of long snapper Liam McCullough's contract. The four-year extension was confirmed by the team on Thursday. This move is the first roster change for the organization ahead of the 2025 season, aside from signing reserve/future contracts.
McCullough, who was due to become a free agent with the start of the new league year on March 12, will now remain in Atlanta for at least another season. The 27-year-old has been with the Falcons since 2022 and has participated in all 51 games over three seasons. Before joining Atlanta, McCullough was an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State University in 2020 and had stints with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Las Vegas Raiders but did not play in any games.
With McCullough's return, the Falcons maintain their special teams unit for a fourth consecutive season. Punter Bradley Pinion is contracted through 2025, while kicker Younghoe Koo is signed until 2026.
"It's rare to have continuity because for each position, there's only 32 spots," said Falcons special teams coordinator Marquice Williams last October. "So, to have that continuity and having guys under contract... they work well together. There's three different guys, three different personalities... they directly correlate to each other's success."
