VIDEO: Senior Services Mobile Food Pantry Delivers to Homebound and In Need Seniors

Food

County of Forsyth recently issued the following announcement on September 13.

This summer, Forsyth County Senior Services launched a new program to deliver donated food and drinks through a new Mobile Food Pantry to senior residents that are homebound or may be in need of assistance across the County.

The program targets residential senior communities and complexes that have a large percentage of senior residents or multi-generational families. The food comes from multiple community partners including the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Georgia Mountain Food Bank as well as individuals in the community.

The Mobile Food Pantry often partners with the Forsyth County Public Library’s Bookmobile that makes scheduled stops throughout the County.

If you would like to donate food to the Senior Services Mobile Food Pantry, or suggest a location that the pantry visit next, please contact Senior Services Specialist Susan Wright by email at STWright@forsythco.com or by calling (770) 781-2178.
