Rep. Andrew Clyde, a U.S. Congressman representing Georgia's 9th district since 2021, has been vocal on social media about his views on current political matters. Born in Walkerton, Ontario, Canada in 1963 and now residing in Athens, Clyde holds degrees from the University of Notre Dame and Bethel University.
On November 18, 2024, Rep. Clyde expressed concerns over President Trump's Cabinet picks being subjected to "smear tactics and lies" by the Left. He advised the public not to be swayed by these actions. "It should come as no surprise that President Trump’s Cabinet picks are now the targets of the same smear tactics and lies that the Left has pushed against Trump for YEARS."
The following day, November 19, he emphasized FEMA's role in providing aid without political bias during crises. He stated that disasters do not discriminate and neither should disaster relief efforts: "FEMA’s job is to help ALL Americans in times of crisis, regardless of their political affiliation."
Later on November 19, Rep. Clyde commented on what he perceives as resistance within established political circles to change desired by voters: "Apparently this is still a hard pill for the Uniparty to swallow, but the American people voted for CHANGE."
