Rep. Andrew Clyde, a U.S. Congressman representing Georgia's 9th district since 2021, has been active on social media expressing his views on various issues. Born in Walkerton, Ontario, Canada in 1963 and currently residing in Athens, Clyde has a background in education from the University of Notre Dame and Bethel University.
On November 19, 2024, Rep. Clyde expressed support for Pete Hegseth's potential impact at the Pentagon by stating "Pete Hegseth will be an incredible agent of change at the Pentagon."
The following day, November 20, he commented on a legal case involving an illegal alien found guilty of murder. He tweeted: "The illegal alien who brutally murdered 22-year-old Laken Riley has been found GUILTY ON ALL COUNTS. This monster was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. He deserves the death penalty."
Later that same day, Rep. Clyde addressed issues regarding gender-specific spaces with his post: "This isn’t complicated… Men DO NOT belong in women’s bathrooms or private spaces—on Capitol Hill or anywhere else for that matter."
