City of Gainesville issued the following announcement on November 02.
Service has now been restored.
Customers impacted are under a boil water advisory until further notice.
The Gainesville Department of Water Resources (DWR) is working to restore water to customers following a water main break in the area of Duckett Mill Road.
DWR identified the following as areas of impact, with outages lasting approximately six hours: Duckett Mill Road, Banks Mountain Drive, Hickory Lane Drive, Monroe Circle, Hampton Court, Timberlake Drive, Lodgehaven Drive, Green Apple Road, Thrasher Drive and Jay Mountain Road.
Those navigating the area are urged to drive carefully, and watch for construction workers and equipment during this time.
