Five Paintings to Proficiency Workshop

A 3-day workshop taught by instructor Jennifer Ferris
January 28, 29, and 30
Friday: 10:00 AM-4:00 PM
Saturday: 11:00 AM-6:00 PM
Sunday : 1:00 PM-6:00 PM
We will have a 30 minute break for lunch each day. Please bring a sack lunch.
$350
In this 3-day workshop, Jennifer will instruct you in creating "5" small paintings that will introduce you to and give you practice on a variety of painting fundamentals and techniques including: values and value maps, atmospheric depth, rule of thirds, palette knife, edges, grid transfer method, 3-d shading, cropping & simplifying reference photos, and more. The 5 paintings include a tryptic of 3 quick/simple non-representational abstracts, a vase of flowers, a basic landscape, a more involved non-representational abstract, and a cityscape.
This course is perfect for beginners, but is also great for moderate painters who are primarily self-taught.
