City of Gainesville recently issued the following announcement.
A valve repair at Prior Street and Jesse Jewell Parkway is on the Gainesville Department of Water Resources' to-do list, which will result in temporary water service interruptions for some customers from roughly 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, April 23.
The outage is expected to impact approximately 50 residences, which – if they haven't already – should receive a robo call or door hanger as notification.
After water is restored, these same customers will be under a boil water advisory until further notice.
Customers are urged to take necessary precautions to prevent damage to any equipment requiring water. Those navigating the area are urged to drive carefully, and watch for construction workers and equipment during this time.
