Northside Hospital Atlanta ranks among the nation’s best hospitals for adult obstetrics and gynecology according to U.S. News & World Report’s recently released 2022-23 Best Hospitals rankings. The hospital is ranked No. 47 of all U.S. hospitals and is the only Georgia hospital to make the list.

Northside's legacy in women's health services is well-established. More babies are born at Northside Hospital Atlanta each year than at any other U.S. hospital. The Northside system is home to nationally renowned experts in gynecologic oncology, laparoscopic gynecologic surgery and robotic surgery.
Overall, Northside Hospital Atlanta ranked No. 3 in both metro Atlanta and Georgia. Other results for Northside hospitals include:
- Northside Hospital Atlanta rated ‘high performing’ in 16 adult specialties, procedures and conditions, including back surgery (spinal fusion), hip replacement and three new procedures – ovarian cancer surgery, prostate cancer surgery and uterine cancer surgery.
- Northside Hospital Cherokee rated high performing in five adult procedures and conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), kidney failure and stroke.
- Northside Hospital Forsyth ranked No. 6 and No. 7 on the metro Atlanta and Georgia lists, respectively, and rated high performing in stroke, lung cancer surgery and knee replacement, among others.
- Northside Hospital Gwinnett ranked No. 9 in metro Atlanta and No. 12 in Georgia, and rated high performing in colon cancer surgery, heart attack, and diabetes, among others.
